Allegiant has introduced its Allways Rewards Visa card, a rebrand of its former Allegiant World Mastercard.
The rebranding effort is intended to enhance member benefits and reward options. The company expects the new partnership with Visa to provide cardholders with more opportunities to earn points for everyday purchases.
“Enhancing the consumer experience by delivering rewards, benefits, and value on everyday purchases is key,” said Kirk Stuart, head of North America merchant, acquiring, and enablement, Visa, in a press release.
The current rewards structure remains intact. Cardholders earn three points per $1 on Allegiant purchases, two points per $1 on qualifying dining purchases, and one point per $1 on all other purchases. The rebranded card also continues the “buy one, get one free” airfare benefit, as well as the ability to earn unlimited points on purchases with no points expiration.
New cardholders currently earn 15,000 bonus points after spending $1,000 in the first 90 days. The annual fee for the card is $59.
Bank of America will continue to issue the Allegiant card. New card applications will be processed as Visa cards, and all current cardholders will be transitioned over the next nine months. Account information and point balances will automatically transfer. Cardholders will be notified a few weeks before their new card is shipped.
