Bread Financial today announced the New York Yankees Mastercard, set to officially launch before the 2023 Major League Baseball season begins.
The card will offer 5% back on all purchases made at Yankee Stadium concessions and shops, 3% on dining, gas, rideshare and transit, and 1% on all other purchases.
As part of the multi-year cobrand agreement, Bread Financial and the New York Yankees are introducing a new loyalty program, Pinstripe Rewards. Cardholders will be able to redeem earned points for game tickets and exclusive experiences such as access to alumni dinners, stadium tours, pre-game meet and greets, and memorabilia.
The Yankees will be rolling out in-stadium QR codes so fans can quickly and easily apply. Once approved, fans can add the card to their digital wallets to begin saving and earning rewards immediately at the game.
“Bread Financial is proud to be working with the New York Yankees by providing this unique co-brand credit card offering that will help drive fan engagement, loyalty, and sales for their organization while also delivering a highly compelling value proposition for cardholders,” said Val Greer, Bread Financial executive vice president and chief commercial officer, in a press release.
Complete New York Yankees Mastercard rate and fee information will be available when the card is made available to applicants. It is not yet known if the card will offer a welcome bonus for new accounts.
