Shopify has introduced Shopify Credit, a pay in full business credit card that is now available to eligible merchants.
Cardholders earn 3% cash back in their top spend category, and 1% back on other eligible purchases. Available spending categories include marketing and advertising; shipping and fulfillment; and wholesale.
Through October 31, 2023, new cardholders can start earning credit towards Shop Cash offers after their first $5,000 in spend during the first 3 months, and can get up to $2,000 in credits after spending $20,000 in the first 3 months.
The card does not charge interest or fees, and offers an extended grace period of 25 days after the close of the monthly statement to pay. A virtual card is issued immediately upon approval.
Shopify credit is available to single-store merchants located in the United States and Puerto Rico who have a Shopify Payments account. A credit check is not required for approval because the card’s underwriting model is based on the merchant’s business performance rather than their personal credit score.
The card offers the typical range of Visa perks, as well. Shopify Credit is powered by Stripe and issued by Celtic Bank.
